Installing fonts on a Mac

How to Install a Font on macOS ?

Install using Font Book:

Font Book is an application that comes with the Mac and simplifies the process of managing fonts, including installing, uninstalling, viewing, and organizing them. You can find Font Book at /Applications/Font Book, or by selecting Applications from the Go menu, and then locating and double-clicking the Font Book application.

You can find information about using Font Book in the Use Font Book to Install and Delete Fonts on Your Mac guide. One advantage of using Font Book to install a font is that it will validate a font before installing it. This lets you know if there are any problems with the file, or if there will be any conflicts with other fonts

1.Double click the unzipped font file and Font Book will open a preview of the font.

2.Click “Install Font” at the bottom of the preview.

Manually install:

1.Open Finder and click the Go menu at the top of the screen.

2.While in the Go menu, hold down both the Alt/Option and Shift keys on your keyboard to reveal the hidden link to the Library folder

3.Navigate to your Fonts folder:
/Users/Your_Username/Library/Fonts

4.Drag and drop the unzipped font files into this folder.
